Conversion Privilege

On termination of insurance coverage, individuals under age 66 have the privilege to purchase life insurance from the insurance carrier without evidence of insurability or, specifically, without undergoing any medical examination.

Conversion privilege must be exercised before age 66.

The premiums for an individual life policy will be determined by the insurance carrier at the time of application.

Application for the individual policy must be made within the 31 day conversion period following termination of coverage under the group policy.
