The
CPP pays a monthly pension to teachers who have contributed
to the Plan and are disabled. Teachers, must apply
in writing as soon as they believe a serious long-term
disability prevents them from working regularly at any
job or, if unable to apply, another person may apply
on the teacher's behalf. Teachers should make an application
for CPP disability benefits regardless of whether they
are in receipt of sick leave benefits or Income Continuance
Plan benefits. Application kits can be obtained from
a Human Resources Development Canada Income Security
